Drawing Lovell

Finished up this drawing i did of a photo i snapped of a Wonderful spirit by the name of Lovell better known as the #CrenshawCowboy. If you stay in Los Angeles and ever drove past the 10 freeway on Crenshaw Blvd it’s a 90% chance you have seen him. This guy is creative, amazing and very inspiring. More than anything what Is so fascinating is someone like Lovell who others might look past on a daily and pay no mind to his only goal is to help others and inspire. Instead of begging for money he creates cool art pieces out of things he finds around the streets. He also writes cool inspirational quotes on signs he makes and hangs them up for day to day people to see at red lights during their daily commutes.
During the process of drawing this piece i really reflected on my own person life and thought wow if this guy who many of us would say has nothing and his only goal is to create and help others what the hell am i doing……?
I’ve been learning that small simple things do in fact go a long way and is a great step forward for all. Sometimes maybe as simple as talking to that person we see during our daily commutes that we never talk to and just saying hello how much difference that can make. Holding the door for someone. Helping someone for a sec with their bags.
Giving someone a genuine compliment.
We are all so drilled into our daily life and problems we forget what this journey is really all about. We don’t have to be a millionaire or even take money out of our pockets to help others and make a difference. With that being said let’s all put our best foot forward and start today.   B-Wade
